10X More International Charter Service For FY2002 from Tokyo's Haneda Airport
TOKYO, February 7, 2002 In conjunction with the expansion of 70 slots per week designated for international charter service at Tokyo's centrally located Haneda airport during late night/early morning hours, All Nippon Airways (ANA) will operate a total of 300 flights in FY2002, starting April 1. ANA will now offer 10 times more international charter flights than it did in FY2001.
ANA began international charter flights out of Haneda airport on February 16, 2001 flying first to Honolulu, followed by Guam, Seoul and other tourist destinations. Load levels for international charter flights out of Haneda have averaged an outstanding 99% despite the unconventional hours, a reflection of the high demand for travel at the airport from the Tokyo Metropolitan area.
To further distinguish its product ANA will brand these flights "ANA'S HANEDA CHARTER" and will employ "TINTIN" the character popular with females in their 20's and 30's who comprise the main target audience for this service. With this new schedule, ANA aims to continue in its leadership capacity as the pioneer of international charter flights at Haneda Airport.
Details of the service may be found below.
