SAGA

The Hizen Hamajuku area developed on the back of the local brewing industry from the Edo period through the Showa period. The focus of the area - a 600-meter-long street lined with buildings with white-wash walls, sake breweries and former samurai residences - is called Sakagura-dori, or "Sake Brewing Street".

TOTTORI

Kyushosan, a mountain east of Tottori City, reaches an altitude of 263m.

・The ruins of the castle that once stood here are now preserved as part of the Kyusho Park.
・A 360-degree view of the surrounding area can be enjoyed from atop the remains of the castle tower.
・From here the famous Tottori Sand Dunes can be seen in the distance.
・The hiking course here is perfect for beginners.

SHONAI(YAMAGATA)

Yunohama Onsen

This coastal onsen resort area has been around for 1,000 years and today comprises a mixture of modern hotels and traditional ryokan. A feature of the area is the wide Shirahama beach which spreads out for around one kilometer right in front of the resort area.

Visitors to Yunohama Onsen can enjoy soaking in outdoor hot spring baths as they gaze out at the spectacular sunset over the Sea of Japan, selected as one of the "100 best sunsets" in the country.

YAMAGUCHI

Discover one of Japan's largest karst plateaus on a Segway!

After a comprehensive lesson from an instructor, set out on a 90-minute Segway tour of the Akiyoshidai Plateau! Each spot on the tour provides an opportunity to learn about the plateau, as well as time to take photos.

After a break, the tour heads to its final destination, the Mito Observatory which provides visitors with an opportunity to take in the plateau from an alternative perspective.
