After the mesmerizing visit to Tottori Sand Dunes, stop by The Sand Museum, which is located at a walking distance from the dunes, where you can enjoy various intricate sand sculptures created by top artists from around the world. For more adventurous travelers, we recommend SUP on the Uradome Coast. In mid-August, check out the colorful umbrella dance at the Tottori Shan Shan Festival.

When traveling to Kochi, don’t miss the many picturesque cultural spots. At Iwamoto-ji Temple, admire the 575 paintings on the ceiling. Look around the temple grounds for the various artworks displayed. You might even recognize some of them. Then, head to Yusuhara Community Library, also called the “Library Above the Clouds,” and take in the breathtaking architecture.
