Seiryuan is a peaceful ryokan with a prestigious Japanese restaurant surrounded by a beautiful Japanese garden in Akizuki, a town known as the Little Kyoto located close to Fukuoka City. The garden that can be seen from the large hall and the guestrooms display painting-like, beautiful views every season. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, you can spend a relaxing time surrounded by the calming sound of the river, which is ideal for sleep, while songbirds wake you up in the morning.
Traditional Japanese cuisine using plenty of seasonal vegetables
As a ryokan with a prestigious Japanese restaurant, Seiryuan takes pride in offering fine cuisine made using fresh ingredients in abundance that allows savoring the season directly on your tongue. With each dish prepared beautifully and delicately, Seiryuan’s colorful kaiseki cuisine is not only pleasant to the palate but also to the eyes. The ryokan’s passion can be seen in the gardens, dishware and how the dishes are prepared and served, creating a space filled with a moment of peace and gourmet cuisine.
Only six guestrooms a day
There is a total of six guestrooms all in quintessential Japanese style. Each room, named after a seasonal flower or a tree, offers a view of the beautiful garden. Every room has a unique and elaborate Japanese atmosphere, but what they all have in common is a family bath with a natural hot spring. Some guestrooms have an outdoor bath, a reclining-style bath that allows enjoying hot spring water while lying down, or a stone sauna popular among women.
