Immigration
  • Please present your passport and Immigration Card.
  • Those who do not carry an Indian passport (including people of Japanese nationality) must present the Immigration Card.
  • The route will differ depending on the passport and visa you have. Please follow the directions.
  • Business Class passengers are eligible for fast track Immigration. Look for the First/Business Class signs at two counters.

Customs

Customers with goods to declare must turn in their Customs Declaration forms.

Departure Terminal

Terminal Access
  • Only the passengers boarding flights can enter the international terminal.
    • * If your child/children are travelling alone and/or you are sending off/picking up a customer using ANA airport support, please be aware that you cannot enter the terminal.
    • Please confirm with us in advance the point where you will send off/pick up. Please contact us for further details.
  • Passengers cannot enter the terminal earlier than four hours before flight departure time.
  • At the entrance of the terminal, all passengers are asked to present the boarding pass with flight number of the day printed, Electronic Ticket Itinerary/Receipt and the passport. Any relevant reservation changes (such as rebooking) are required beforehand.
    • In the case of an e-ticket, please print and bring the Electronic Ticket Itinerary/Receipt with the updated departing date.
Check-In
  • Please present your passport and ticket.
    Paper boarding passes are required for departure from India.
    Even if you have checked in online, please pick up a paper boarding pass at the check-in counter.
  • Since the boarding gate check-in counters might be subject to change, please check at the airport to the day of departure.

Immigration/Security check
  • Please present your passport and boarding pass.
  • Passengers who are of foreign nationality (including Japanese nationality) are not required to submit Immigration Cards.
  • Upon completion of passport control and security check, a stamp will be placed on each paper boarding pass. If the stamp is not stamped, boarding will take longer, so please be sure to check the stamp before boarding.If you lose the paper boarding pass with the stamp, you will not be allowed to board.If you have any of these problems, please notify the boarding gate agent.

Transit

From ANA to India Domestic Flights
  • Drop your check-in baggage at Domestic Transit Counter (AI/9W only).
  • Passengers who transfer to AI/9W/UK flight, please proceed to the domestic departure counter on the 4th floor in the same terminal.
  • Passengers who transfer to SG/6E/G8 flight, please proceed to the domestic terminal by taxi (paid service).
  • Please pass through Immigration, pick up your baggage and go through Customs.
  • Then confirm the departure terminal for your connecting flight and proceed to the boarding gate.
From ANA to International Flights
  • If you've already checked in to your connecting flight, go through the transfer security checkpoint and proceed to the boarding gate for the connecting flight.
  • If you have not checked in for the connecting flight, please check in at the transfer counter and proceed to the boarding gate.
From International Flights to ANA
  • If you have an ANA flight boarding pass, go through the connecting security check and proceed to the boarding gate of ANA flight.
  • If you don't have an ANA flight boarding pass, please complete check-in at the international connecting counter and then proceed to the boarding gate.
From Domestic Flights to ANA
  • If you have an ANA boarding pass, go through the Immigration and security check, then proceed to the boarding gate.
    • * Airline stamps are required on boarding passes issued by the automatic ticket machines.
      If there is no stamp, please proceed to the ANA check-in counter.
  • If you do not have an ANA boarding pass, please proceed to the ANA check-in counter.

Metro (Subway)

Delhi Metro Airport Express Line
  • Platform: IGI Airport Station is directly connected to the airport. Exit the building from the Arrivals Lobby and walk about 5 minutes along the route shown
  • Time required: 20 minutes
  • Fare: Rs60 (IGI Airport Station to New Delhi Station.)
  • Operating hours: 4:45 to 23:15 (10 to 15 minute intervals.)

Bus

Airport Bus. Bound for the ISBT long distance bus terminal via Connaught Place
  • Platform: In front of the no. 18 column at the International Lobby exit. Terminal Station ISBT
  • Time required: Approx. 50 to 80 minutes (will be longer during morning and evening rush hours)
  • Fare: From Rs75 (For large luggage, an additional Rs25 per piece)
  • Operating hours: 24 hours (10 to 20 minute intervals)

Taxi

Prepaid or metered. Also ride-sharing (OLA, Uber)
  • Platform: International Terminal or Domestic Terminal Arrivals Lobby exit. The pickup location for ride-shares is dedicated spaces in the parking area.
  • Time required: Approx. 40 minutes (will be longer during morning and evening rush hours)
  • Fares: Prepaid taxis are about Rs400 and metered taxis are Rs23 per km + Rs150 airport entry toll. (Late hour fare increase of +25% from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day.)
    Ride shares are about Rs350 to 400
  • Operating hours: 24 hours

Visa information for India

Transit Visa

Passengers who would like to travel to a third country via India will require a transit visa. Up to 2 transfers are permitted within the 3-month validity period, with a maximum stay of 3 days in each Indian city.

Tourist Visa

If a passenger holding a tourist visa departs India within the 6-month validity period, re-entry into India shall not be permitted for 2 months. If a passenger want to re-enter within 2 months he must make a special application. A variety of visas are provided for India, depending on the frequency, duration and purpose of visits. Please confirm the type of visa that corresponds with your itinerary and purpose of visit. Note: Visa information is continually being updated. Applications for ETA

The Indian government has introduced an electronic tourist visa issuing system—Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVoA) enabled with Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

Passengers wishing to use the electronic tourist visa issuing system must apply via the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs at least 4 days prior to entering in India.

Visa on arrival

Japanese passport holders may obtain a visa on arrival in India even if they do not hold an ETA.
