Immigration
Please present your passport. Note:
- It is necessary to show a return ticket or onward ticket to a third country at Immigration.
- Passengers with an e-Ticket will need to show their e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt.
- Screenshots on your laptop and phone photos are not accepted.
Visa
It is possible to apply for a visa upon arrival at the "Visa on Arrival" counter, but only if you have obtained a visa acquisition from Vietnam's border control authority.

There will be a carry-on luggage inspection.

Transit
Connections in Vietnam
- Passengers with layovers in Vietnam need to check-in at the transfer counter in the middle of the arrival floor. Do not go through Immigration.
- After completing check-in, go up the stairs behind the transfer counter to the departure (2nd) floor and proceed directly to the departure gate.
- Transit passengers connecting to LCC might be required to clear Immigration and proceed to the check-in counters.
Domestic Travel
- Go to the Domestic terminal after completing all arrival procedures.
- Complete check-in at your airlines' check-in counter.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) to Ho Chi Minh City
Bus
There are two lines between the airport and the city center. The bus stop is to the right after exiting the Tan Son Nhat International Airport arrival hall.
Bus No. 109
Travels between the airport and District 1 to reach the September 23 Park Bus Terminal.
- Time required: 20 minutes
- Fare: 20,000 Dong one way (12,000 Dong for distances 5 km and under)
- Operating hours: 0:00 to 23:45 (15-minute intervals)
- * Due to subway construction, the Ben Thanh Bus Terminal in front of Ben Thanh Market has been cut back and moved to the nearby Ham Nghi Street. With these changes, almost all bus routes now start from and terminate at the bus terminal established in September 23 Park on Pham Ngu Lao Street.
Bus No. 152
Travels between the airport and District 7 via Tran Hung Dao Road
- Time required: 30 minutes
- Fare: 5000 Dong one way (Additional fare of one person when carrying large luggage)
- Operating hours: 5:30 to 18:30 (12 to 21 minutes intervals)
- * Due to subway construction, the Ben Thanh Bus Terminal in front of Ben Thanh Market has been cut back and moved to the nearby Ham Nghi Street. With these changes, almost all bus routes now start from and terminate at the bus terminal established in September 23 Park on Pham Ngu Lao Street.
Taxi
- Time required: Approx. 20 minutes
- Fare: When riding a metered taxi, the fare starts at 150,000 dong for one district. You can also download a special app to use the Grab taxi service with fares generally starting at 100,000 dong for one district, but fares go up during peak times. When using a company that lets you use fixed fare taxi coupons, the fare varies by destination and time period and starts at 220,000 dong for a 7-seater vehicle for one district.
