FRY to FLY Project

The FRY to FLY Project is working to collect waste cooking oil to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and biofuel. SAF is said to reduce CO2 emissions by 80% over its life cycle compared to conventional aviation fuel.

Collected used cooking oil is transported to factories that produce SAF and biofuels, where it is transformed into environmentally friendly fuels for use in society. In order to realize a sustainable society, the FRY to FLY Project aims to reduce CO2 emissions in cooperation with our customers and many other companies.

Flying with used cooking oil?

At this event, used cooking oil from frying French fries was collected to make biofuel. During the three days of the event, a total of approximately 230 liters of used cooking oil was collected. Oil that would otherwise have gone to waste is recycled as a resource and reborn as an environmentally friendly fuel.

The FRY to FLY Project booth at the event attracted many visitors over the three days, who enjoyed learning about the project's efforts and taking photos.
