Essential things you need to know before your trip
In addition to restrictions common to all routes, there are restrictions specific to each country, region, or airport.
Notes
- If a codeshare flight or flight operated by another airline is included in the itinerary, the baggage rules of the other airline may apply.
- When traveling on Japanese domestic sectors using a ticket for which the International Conditions of Carriage apply, the baggage rules for international flights will apply.
- Please check documents and instruction manuals that describe the chemical substances hazard information of the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) beforehand to make sure that items applicable to dangerous goods are not contained in your baggage.
- Please be advised that in the event that it is impossible to confirm whether or not an item can be transported by airplane before the departure time, the request for transport may be rejected.
- Some countries/regions may restrict other items in addition to those below from being carried on board and checked in.

- Due to a circular issued from the Mexican authorities, you should note that electronic cigarettes are prohibited to be imported or exported on flights to or from Mexico.

- Passengers who transit at the Hong Kong International Airport without passing through immigration control are exempt.
Prohibition of Possessing Electronic Cigarettes in Hong Kong
Effective from April 30, 2022, the law prohibits taking alternative smoking products including electronic cigarettes on board aircraft, carrying them on one's person, as well as storing them away in Hong Kong.
Please note that the transportation of electronic cigarettes in carry-on and checked baggage is prohibited for flights to and from Hong Kong except for the transit passengers without passing through immigration control.

Notification of importing Power-Assisted Bicycles to Singapore
All importers of Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs) and motorised Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) are required to obtain approval from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) before importing these devices into Singapore.
Individuals who attempt to bring in PABs or motorised PMDs without a valid import permit may be asked to return to their port of origin (if they wish to keep their device) or dispose of their device on the spot for a fee, or may face penalties and have their device seized.
