Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
A spectacular marine life exhibition at one of Japan’s finest aquariums
Okinawa is home to Churaumi Aquarium, widely regarded as the best aquarium in Japan, boasting an eye-opening collection of marine life.
Encounter 70 different coral reefs the world's first large scale exhibit of living coral and get up close to whale sharks (the world’s largest sharks) at the Kuroshio tank. Admire the colorful fish at the 'The Coral Sea' and 'The Sea of Tropical Fish' exhibits, and interact with seashells and starfish at the touch pool.
After walking around, why not head to the Inoh restaurant for a quick bite? It serves a variety of Okinawan, Italian and tropical curry meals, suitable for families in a buffet or à la carte style. You can even sit by the window for an incredible ocean view.
