Umikaji Terrace Senagajima
Enjoy the atmosphere of an exotic resort in a beautiful contrast of white and blue
Only a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport, Umikaji Terrace Senagajima is located on an outlying island connected by a mid-sea road. Among the pure white resort townscape are over 40 shops where you can enjoy dining and shopping. Moreover, the stunning sunset over the East China Sea can be viewed from anywhere on the island.
Soak in a variety of hot springs at Ryukyu Onsen Ryujin-no-Yu
Ryujin-no-Yu, which literally means the "Dragon God's Bath," is a hot spring facility at the Senagajima Hotel, located adjacent to Umikaji Terrace. Open also for day-trip guests, the natural hot spring emerges from 1,000 meters underground and is also known to be beneficial for fertility. Among the wide variety of baths, the outdoor deep bath is highly recommended, where you can soak standing up and enjoy the view of the airport appearing as if floating in the ocean. In addition, this is the only facility in Okinawa where you can experience löyly, the Finnish steam sauna, with sessions held daily.
Orion Eco Chura Sun Beach
Opened in May 2010, Orion Eco Chura Sun Beach is one of the largest artificial beaches in Okinawa, stretching around 700 meters long. It is located just 15 minutes south of Naha Airport, so you can play on the beach right after arriving in Okinawa, or relax by the sea before flying home. Various fun activities are offered such as a beach waterpark and barbecue space, as well as extensive facilities including parking space for 800 vehicles, restrooms, showers and coin lockers.
Roadside Station Toyosaki
Just a short walk from Chura Sun Beach, the Roadside Station Toyosaki is a comprehensive facility that includes the Information Station offering Okinawa main island tourism information; the JA Okinawa Shokusaikan Nanairo Batake where visitors can purchase fresh vegetables, fruits, meat and other local souvenirs; and Tiguma-kan, an exhibit shop and hands-on experience workshop for the traditional sugarcane-dyed fabric Uji-zome. In addition to sightseeing tips, the Information Station also offers real-time information on flights, traffic and weather radar that you can take full advantage of for your Okinawa tour.
