Customers flying with ANA and traveling between Japan and Europe can use trains as a mode of transportation. On this page, you'll find information around two major rail services—Deutsche Bahn (DB) and InterCity Rail Service. Note: These rail services may not be available on some fares and are based on seat availability. There may be other rail services which are not indicated below. If you have a reservation on rail services with another airline's flight number, please contact the airline directly for details.
This is a service of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (Lufthansa or LH), a joint venture partner of ANA. For details, please see Lufthansa Express Rail.
First class and business class passengers will have reserved seats in the first class carriage. Premium Economy or Economy Class passengers will be seated in second class.
Check-in is required as with any flight segment. Please complete online check-in at least 15 minutes before the train departure time.
You are responsible for your baggage when getting on and off the train as well as while on board.
Note: Passengers using Lufthansa-operated flights from Frankfurt can use the AIRail counter at the Frankfurt train station, but ANA passengers must bring their own baggage to the ANA check-in counter.
Along with your air ticket, you can purchase a ticket for Deutsche Bahn, which connects German domestic airports served by ANA flights with more than 5,600 stations in Germany.
Trains can be used on the boarding day of the flight and the following day (for departures from Germany, the day before and the boarding day of the flight).
These tickets can be used on all Deutsche Bahn (DB) routes departing from and arriving at German domestic airports served by ANA flights.
They can also be used on Deutsche Bahn (DB) trains connecting Amsterdam, Zurich, Basel, Salzburg and Brussels airports to German stations.
