Customs

Customers with goods to declare must turn in their Customs Declaration forms at Customs. Your luggage may be subject to inspection, regardless of whether you have products to declare or not. In this case, please follow the attendant's instructions.

Minors Traveling Alone

From ANA to Other Airlines

ANA flights arrive at Terminal 2B. Immigration and check-in procedures are performed at Terminal 2A. Connecting passengers should take an escalator or elevator on level 2 of Terminal 2B down to Level B1, and then pass through the underground passageway toward Terminal 2A.

On level 2 of Terminal 2A, there is an escalator to Terminal 1 and an escalator to the stop for buses to Terminal 3, 4, and 5. Passengers should proceed toward the terminal for their connecting flight. Passengers connecting to flights departing from Terminal 2A or 2B should pass through the transfer security checkpoint and then take an escalator or elevator up to level 4 (departure floor) of Terminal 2A.

On level 4, there is the transfer area, self-service check-in machines, and transfer counters. Passengers connecting to Terminal 2A should proceed to the departure floor, while passengers connecting to Terminal 2B should proceed via the underground passageway to Terminal 2B.

From Other Airlines to ANA

On level 2 of Terminal 2A, there is the underground passageway from Terminal 2B, and escalators from the stop for buses to Terminal 3, 4, and 5. Pass through the transfer security checkpoint and take an escalator or elevator up to level 4 (departure floor) of Terminal 2A.

On level 4 of Terminal 2A, there is the transfer area, self-service check-in machines, a transfer counter, and an escalator and elevator from Terminal 1. Passengers connecting to an ANA flight should proceed via the underground passageway to the boarding gate in Terminal 2B.

Connecting from Other Airlines
  • Passengers with no boarding pass should proceed to our transfer desk and check-in at the self-service check-in kiosk.
  • Passengers with through checked baggage should contact us using the phone at our transfer desk as ANA needs to confirm the baggage detail(s).

LHR Terminals 2, 3 → Piccadilly Circus

  • Platform: Station directly connected to terminal
  • Time required: Approx. 50 minutes
  • Fare: Cash £6, Oyster Card (off peak) £3.10, (peak) £5.10
  • Operating hours: Mon. to Fri. 5:10 to 23:43, Sat. 5:10 to 23:20, Sun. 5:13 to 23:26 (generally 5 minute intervals. Approx. 10 minute intervals early in the morning and late at night. The Night Tube that runs on weekends and at night is closed)

Train

Heathrow Express

LHR Terminals 2, 3 → Paddington Sta.

  • Platform: The station is directly connected to the terminal
  • Time required: Approx. 15 minutes
  • Fare: £25 for one way express (£22 online), £5.50 for ticket purchased in advanced for a specific date, £37 round trip. Business First Class ticket: £32 one way, £55 round trip.
  • Operating hours: Mon. to Fri. 5:17 to 23:59, Sat & Sun. 5:17 to 23:47 (approx. 30-minute intervals)
Tfl Rail

LHR Terminals 2, 3 → Paddington Station

  • Platform: The station is directly connected to the terminal
  • Time required: Approx. 30 minutes
  • Fare: Oyster Card (off peak) £10.10, (peak) £10.80
  • Operating hours: Mon. to Sat. 5:28 to 0:13 (following day), Sun. 6:07 to 0:07 (following day) (approx. 30-minute intervals)
  • * As of November, 2020, the railway service is operating on an emergency schedule that is subject to change, for example with fewer trains. Times may vary on weekends due to construction, so it is best to check.

Bus

Mid-Distance Bus Coach National Express

LHR Terminals 2, 3 → Victoria Coach Sta.

  • Platform: Departs from Central Bus Sta., 5 to 10 minute walk from Terminals 2, 3
  • Time required: Approx. 50 to 80 minutes
  • Fare: From £10 (£1 for online reservation fee, and £1.50 for insurance, and £2 for seat reservation)
  • Operating hours: Tue. to Thu. 4:50 to 22:10,Fri. to Mon. 4:05 to 22:40 (About 4 per day)
  • * As of November 2020, there are fewer buses in operation.

Taxi

  • Taxi Stand: Departs outside each terminal
  • Time required: Approx. 60 minutes (Depends on local traffic conditions)
  • Fare: £70 to 100 (For black cabs, the fare varies depending on traffic. You are charged an additional £2.80 when taking a taxi from the taxi stand at Heathrow Airport. A surcharge is added at night, on holidays, and during the period from before Christmas to New Year's, for example.)
  • Operating hours: 24 hours

ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) Application for Entry into UK

The UK government requires eligible travelers from certain countries to obtain electronic travel authorisation (ETA).
This applies to those visiting UK and those entering an airport in UK for transit to other countries. You must have the ETA when checking in for any flight to UK.

How to Apply

Applications can be made via the ETA official website or the UK ETA APP.

  • Applicable passengers:Passengers of eligible nationalities who are traveling for the following purposes
    • Travelling to the UK for up to 6 months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or short-term study
    • Travelling to the UK for up to 3 months on the concession
    • Travelling to the UK for a permitted paid engagement
    • Transiting through the UK - including if you are not going through UK border control
  • Application fee:£10 GBP
  • How long it takes:In general, 3 working days
  • Period of validity:2 years from the date of acquisition
  • * If you renew your passport after obtaining an ETA, you need to apply for and obtain a new one.
