Marugame Castle
Marugame Castle as a symbol of Marugame City is one of the wooden castle with 400 years old history.
The stone walls that stacked from the inner moat to the castle tower are the highest in Japan. The walls are cast at a striking distinctive curved angle known as a “Fan Slope.” The three layer of wooden tower is designated as an Important Cultural Property by the Japanese government.
