Use miles to pay excess baggage charges on ANA international flights and effectively increase your free baggage allowance.

Only itineraries with ANA-operated flights which were reserved under ANA flight numbers.

    Connections are allowed only the connecting flights are ANA-operated flights which were reserved under ANA flight numbers.

    Flights operated by other airlines and ANA-operated flights which were reserved under another airline's flight number are not eligible.

  • *

    If an itinerary includes international flight connections, domestic sectors which are subject to international baggage rules will also be eligible.

    The excess baggage charges for weight exceedance (23-32 kg) apply to tickets issued from April 1, 2015.

Procedures

  1. After making a reservation for an ANA-operated flight under the ANA flight number, check in your baggage at the check-in counter or Baggage Drop-Off counter on the day of departure.

  2. Present your ANA Card or AMC card and inform the counter staff that you wish to use miles toward excess baggage charges.
    Registered award users who are not traveling with the primary member are required to provide the name and 10-digit AMC membership number of the primary member on the day of departure. (ANA staff will deduct the miles from the relevant mileage account at that time.)

    Miles and cash (credit card) cannot be used in conjunction to pay excess baggage charges.

Notes

  • After miles have been used for excess baggage charges, the redemption cannot be canceled and miles cannot be refunded back to the mileage account.

  • Customers using ANA Card Family Miles Service are not eligible.

  • Receipts are not issued for amounts which are paid with miles.
