Fare Calculation Rules

This page provides information on fare calculation rules and the fare basis date.

What is the fare basis date?

The fare basis date refers to the date when the flight ticket is purchased, and serves as the standard for determining the fare amount of the flight ticket.

The fare basis date differs for every flight.

Specific Examples

Here are several examples demonstrating fare calculation rules and fare basis date.

When the fare amount changes

The applicable fare amount is the amount at the time of purchase.

Prior to Purchasing a Flight Ticket

(Example 1)

A "ANA VALUE" ticket departing on June 20 is reserved on April 24 for 15,000 yen.

Price falls to 13,000 yen on April 25

A ticket is purchased on April 26

The fare effective on the day of ticket purchase is applied, so the ticket is purchased at a fare amount of 13,000 yen.

Example of a Price Decrease

(Example 2)

A "ANA VALUE" ticket departing on June 20 is reserved on April 24 for 15,000 yen.

Price rises to 16,000 yen on April 25

A ticket is purchased on April 26

The fare effective on the day of ticket purchase is applied, so the ticket is purchased at a fare amount of 16,000 yen.

Information regarding fare changes is given in "Information on Fare Setting/Changes".

After Purchasing a Flight Ticket

(Example 3)

A "ANA VALUE" ticket departing on June 20 is purchased on April 20 for 15,000 yen

Price raises to 16,000 yen on April 25

The fare effective on the day of ticket purchase is applied, so the additional 1,000 yen fare amount is not added

Example of a Price Increase

(Example 4)

A "ANA VALUE" ticket departing on June 20 is purchased on April 20 for 15,000 yen

Price falls to 14,000 yen on April 25

The fare amount at the time the ticket purchase is made applies, so the 1,000 yen fare difference is not refunded

Cases in Which Boarding is Changed from a Peak Period to a Normal Period after Purchase

If you are changing the boarding date of a ticket with a fare where rebooking is permitted, a new fare based on the fare of your new boarding date on the day of your initial purchase will be applied.

When changes are made between peak and normal periods, the difference in the fares will be charged or refunded as appropriate.

(Example)

A "ANA FLEX D" departing August 10 (peak period) is purchased on June 10 for 33,000 yen

The boarding (departure) date is changed to September 1 (normal period) on July 30

The valid fare amount for the new boarding date (September 1) based on the flight ticket purchase date (the fare basis date (June 10)) is 30,000 yen, so the difference of 3,000 yen is refunded

Changes from a peak period to a normal period

Cases in Which the Flight Ticket Purchase Date is Different from the Fare Basis Date

Please note that in the following cases, the flight ticket purchase date and fare basis date are different.

The applicable fare amount is the amount stated at the time of payment method selection. Please note that the actual amount is not the fare amount at the time of payment (remittance).

  • Payment is made by printing out a payment slip for convenience store payment

  • When Internet Banking is used and remittance of payment is made directly from a financial institution

  • Bank remittance is used (excludes Pay-easy and ATM payments)

(Example)

A "ANA VALUE" ticket departing on June 20 is reserved on April 24 for 15,000 yen.

Price falls to 13,000 yen on April 25

A ticket is purchased on April 26 (procedures for transferring money directly from a financial institution)

The fare amount shown at the time of payment method selection applies, so the ticket is purchased for 15,000 yen.

There will be no additional charges or refunds even if the fare changes on April 25th.

When you pay at the register after issuing an application ticket or receipt slip from a multimedia terminal set up in a convenience store, the applicable fare amount is the amount that appears on the terminal screen. The fare amount shown on the register screen also applies when you pay at the register after obtaining an online payment number from ANA's website.

When using Internet Banking, if an online remittance is made from a dedicated remittance site (Wellnet Corporation), the applicable fare amount is the amount stated by that remittance site.
