Hakkoda Ropeway
Hakkoda Ropeway offers activities such as winter sports and mountain climbing in addition to the beautiful scenery of seasons such as hoarfrost-covered trees and autumn foliage. In Hakkoda area, there are many secret hot spring lodges and resort hotels, etc., combination of leisure and accommodation are recommended.
Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenery such as fresh greenery, autumn foliage (late September to middle of October), hoarfrost-covered trees (January to February), and from the Summit Park Station between Aomori City and Mutsu Bay, visitors also can see Hakkoda’s mountain range such as Tsugaru Peninsula, Shimokita Peninsula, and Mount Iwaki. Winter skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed from around December until middle of May, and sometimes visitors can have a valuable experience by sliding across hoarfrost-covered trees.
