Nansuikaku
Secluded Japanese ryokan inn in Wakita Onsen, a hot spring destination skirting Hakata, Fukuoka
Wakita Onsen is a hot spring town located midway between the two cities of Fukuoka and Kitakyushu. Nansuikaku is a hot spring accommodation that boasts 10 different types of open-air baths as well as a large indoor bath and private baths. Nestled in a rich, leafy natural environment, guests can enjoy hot spring baths, delicious meals, and heartfelt hospitality, while listening to the sound of the Inunaki River. The ryokan has undergone a full renovation in 2012 to offer greater comfort to guests.
Immerse yourself in a variety of hot spring baths
Yunozen-no-Sato is a facility within the premises that offers a wide variety of elaborate hot spring baths. During the end of March to early April, guests can soak in the bath while gazing out over the garden with cherry blossoms in bloom. In addition, it boasts 10 different types of open-air baths both for men and women such as “Shosuke-no-Yu” with a huge sake barrel from which warm water flows as well as the “Kaguya princess bath” surrounded by bamboo trees. Family baths, seven private baths, and post-bath lounges are also available.
Great guest rooms and meals: The epitome of the Japanese ryokan experience
Most of the guest rooms command a view of the Inunaki River, making it the perfect place to experience the calming ambiance of a Japanese ryokan. There are various types of guestrooms such as those with an open-air bath or with a wooden deck. Meals are also an essential part of a ryokan stay. Prepared by a certified master chef, the kaiseki cuisine that offers fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally from mountain, river, and sea pleases both the eye and the palate.
