Enjoy a stroll in Kirishima-Jingu Shrine in a kimono

Imagine yourself wearing a kimono and walking leisurely through the shrine believed to be the site where the grandson of the sun goddess descended in ancient days. This program, “Stroll through Kirishima-Jingu Shrine in a Kimono” is a great way to get away from your daily life and experience something completely new!

The program has been very popular among Japanese and international tourists as a great way to experience traditional Japan.

This program involves wearing a kimono, passing under the vermillion torii gate, and proceeding gracefully down the tree-lined approach to the shrine. The shrine ground looks different in each season. For example, in spring the ground is pink and white with cherry blossoms, while in autumn it is red and yellow with falling leaves. While strolling, you can enjoy the beauty of the season and the solemn atmosphere of the shrine.
The fee is 3,000 yen per person (including kimono rental and dressing fees), male or female, and advance booking is required. Please note that this program is not available for males unaccompanied by women or for male-only groups.
