Shimonoseki Shunpanro Main Restaurant

The Shimonoseki Shunpanro Main Restaurant is a prestigious kappo ryokan (inn serving traditional Japanese cuisine) that has welcomed many members of the Imperial Family as its guests. Located in Amidaiji Town in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, it was the first restaurant to receive a public license to serve fugu (blowfish). Enjoy the seasonal delicacies of Yamaguchi Prefecture, and take pleasure in gazing out at the ocean from your guestroom or while soaking in the bath.
The dainty foods, served in dishes that compliment them, can only be what they are because they are the product of a skill passed down for generations. In order for you to taste fresh tiger globefish, each one is lovingly prepared with care to every detail from time to temperature.
There are a mere 7 rooms for stay, and boats travel to and fro outside the windows. It is a space bursting with a charm both Japanese and Western. The beautiful night lights of northern Kyushu shine from the opposite shore at night. In the two reservable family baths, you can experience a moment of rest with your loved ones.
