The town of Tako is located in the northeast part of Chiba. Surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes with seasonal flowers, the roadside station is a great spot to shop and relax.

Takomai rice, delicious even when cooled

One of Tako's specialties is Takomai rice, known for its limited availability in the market due to the small production volume and acclaimed for its great taste and sticky texture. At the roadside station, you can enjoy this valuable rice in bento boxes and rice balls, in addition to fresh vegetables harvested that morning and various local sake. Be sure to check out the original products only available at the Tako roadside station.

Explore and experience Tako on rented bicycles

At the roadside station, visitors can rent electric bicycles for the day (500 yen per day) *1, perfect for exploring the town's various sites such as historic temples and buildings as well as filming locations of movies, TV shows, and commercials. Tako is also full of beautiful flowers for all seasons, so look for ajisai (hydrangea) in the early summer and cosmos in the fall as you enjoy the breeze riding through town.
*1 Valid identification is required when renting bicycles.

Enjoy fresh local produce in premium seating overlooking the Kuriyama River
