Niyodo Blue
The Niyodo River in Kochi has the most beautiful blue water in all of Japan and is known as Niyodo Blue. This mystical blue basin was the location of a Japanese legendary tale between a mythical serpent and a beautiful daughter.
These blue waters are what led Nobuyuki Takahashi, the nature photographer who coined the term, to call these Niyodo Blue. During the seconds where light shines through the trees, the beautiful water glimmers like a gem.
