Colorful and charming shops in old-time American townscape

Minatogawa Stateside Town is a new attraction in Urasoe City featuring shops and cafes in renovated American-style buildings which used to be housing for U.S. military personnel. With streets named after American states, the popular area is photogenic from every angle with the retro-chic townscape and stylish shops.

Shopping

A diverse array of shops emerged from the renovated housing, including a rare American vintage goods retailer, a shop offering originally designed and manufactured lamps and lighting equipment, as well as a specialty store for Okinawa-made tableware. Many shops are unique to this area, so walk around and discover your favorite.

Dining

In addition to shopping, Minatogawa Stateside Town also offers a host of dining options for brunch to dinner, from sweets worth waiting in line for to trendy cafes, a tasty bakery and Italian and other cuisine. Popular with locals as well, many restaurants also offer takeout menus. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy eating outdoors while strolling through the exotic and picturesque townscape.
