ANA understands that your pet is a part of your family and is happy to assist when you are traveling with your pet.
ANA will provide the utmost care so that your pet can travel comfortably. However, conditions on the aircraft are significantly different from your pet's everyday environment. This could impact your pet's health leading to weakness, injury, or death. Please be sure to read the precautions and carefully consider whether your pet is suited to transport.
In addition, ANA will not be liable for the death or injury of a pet that occurs during transport due to the pet's health/physical condition, etc., (including atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, noise), a pet's own unique nature, or if there is a defect in the cage used for transport.
Rules regarding the entry of pets differ depending on the country/region, and it may not be possible to check in a pet as baggage due to the laws and regulations of a country/region and its quarantine system. Documents required for the import/export of animals (export quarantine certificate, health certificate, import certificate, etc.) must be confirmed by the customer with the country/region of departure, the quarantine station at the country/region of destination, the embassy, etc. All necessary documents must be prepared in advance.

The cargo room is air-conditioned and has humidity control, but the environment may differ from that of the customer cabin due to the effects of the outside air temperature and other factors.
The cargo room can become very hot in the summer due to high outside temperatures and reflected heat.
In addition, your pet will be in an open-air environment during the loading and unloading processes, so there may be significant temperature and humidity changes during both summer and winter.
Your pet may hear engine, mechanical, and wind noises when the aircraft takes off, lands, or is in flight, or noises from the engine or ground vehicles when being loaded/unloaded.
During the flight, the lights in the cargo room will be off and the room will be dark.

The type of quarantine and documents required for the import of pets into Japan differs depending on the type of animal.

After acceptance of the advance notification, a "Approval of Import Inspection of Animals" will be issued. On the day of departure, please present it to the staff at the ANA check-in counter.
For dogs and cats imported from areas designated as rabies-free, if the microchip recorded on the export certificate is used to identify the animal, the holding period will be within 12 hours.
If the animal cannot be identified by microchip, the holding period may be up to 180 days.
