The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum
See, touch and feel the world of Osamu Tezuka, the god of Japanese manga
The city of Takarazuka in Hyogo Prefecture was where Osamu Tezuka spent his youth. As a survivor of war, the pioneer manga artist continually advocated for the love for nature and respect for life. The museum was established under those themes to expand the dreams and hopes of young people into the future. In a space like a reproduction of a page from Tezuka's manga, visitors can be immersed in the atmosphere through items associated with the artist and his works. You can also experience animation production in this Tezuka world.

Animation workshop
Designed after a robot factory of Tezuka's work, the workshop allows visitors to experience basic and simple animation production. On several sheets of animation video paper, draw pictures moving little by little, and when they are imported into a computer, the moving pictures will be displayed on a monitor. Even if you aren't good at drawing, you can experience the process of animation production by coloring and editing images on a computer. Further inside is a reproduction of Tezuka's studio, and the artist himself might occasionally turn this way as he works.
