Tenmonkan Shopping Street
Tenmonkan Street in Kagoshima-shi is known as the biggest and most thriving shopping street in Kagoshima.
This street is lined with many souvenir shops where you can buy all kinds of local specialties, cakes, and confectionaries of Kagoshima.
In addition to souvenir shops, the street has many eateries, taverns and restaurants, making it a perfect place to have a coffee break during your trip or sample great local and other dishes. In the nighttime, many customers gather in the street’s izakaya restaurants to enjoy food and drinks.
Tenmonkan Street is partly covered by a roof, making it convenient for customers to enjoy shopping without an umbrella on rainy days.
