Sanrio Puroland is a theme park of the beloved Sanrio characters, including the world-famous Hello Kitty. The indoor theme park located in Tama, Tokyo, can be enjoyed without worrying about the weather. The spectacular musicals and parades will excite visitors of all ages.

The history of Sanrio Puroland
Sanrio Puroland opened in December 1990, and in response to the growing popularity of the characters, a new area called Sanrio Town was launched in 2013. The area includes the Lady Kitty House created in the motif of Hello Kitty's home, as well as attractions portraying the fantastic worlds of My Melody and Little Twin Stars (Kiki & Lala). Various events are held every season, so you will never get tired of visiting however many times a year.

Authentic live shows
Numerous authentic shows are performed at Sanrio Puroland. In December 2015, the Miracle Gift Parade commenced in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the park's opening. Collaborating with acclaimed creators, this powerful show is popular not only for the cuteness of the Sanrio characters but also for its acrobatic and laser-light staging and dazzling illuminations.

Making efforts with the city to revitalize the local community
The world of Sanrio Puroland starts right as you get off the train at the nearest station, Tama-Center Station, decorated all around with cute Sanrio characters. On the way to Sanrio Puroland, Hello Kitty flags and images greet visitors from various spots. In cooperation with Tama City, Sanrio Puroland is making efforts to help revitalize the local community as a city where you can encounter Hello Kitty.
