Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum

Nagasaki Prefecture in western Japan is adorned with beautiful islands and coastlines. The Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, located in the prefecture's capital city of Nagasaki, was designed by Kengo Kuma, a celebrated Japanese architect. Facing Nagasaki Bay, it is a one-of-a-kind museum built across a canal. A cafe within the Bridge Corridor, built to connect the two separate buildings, is a perfect space to spend a few relaxing moments gazing at the canal while taking a break from the art. You can also catch a glimpse of Nagasaki Port from the lush roof garden, and at night, the museum is illuminated, offering a beautiful night view of the cityscape.

After visiting the museum, stroll around the neighboring Nagasaki Seaside Park. Take in the sea breeze at the expansive park, which also has areas to let visitors enjoy splashing about in summer. Nagasaki is also home to the Garden Terrace Nagasaki Hotels & Resorts, designed by Kengo Kuma. With every room offering an ocean view, why not choose the hotel as a base for your travel?
