A historical inn that opened more than 100 years ago with its Akayu Onsen boasting a long history more than 920 years old. It was reborn in August 2017 after renovation the entire building under the direction of Mr. Toru Iwase, editor-in-chief of the information magazine “Jiyu-jin”. It is an inn where you can feel the charm of Yamagata, such as the delicious rice and vegetables, fruit and hot springs of the Okitama basin, and the rich culture and climate associated with Yozan Uesugi.
The main cuisine is made from local vegetables produced in the prefecture. Among them, it is the advantage that you can eat fresh, organic vegetables cultivated in the Okitama basin. Enjoy cuisine with carefully selected ingredients, not only vegetables but also seafood, meat, rice, and seasonings, with a live feeling in the open kitchen.
