Order Products Before Your Flight

When flying with ANA, you have the option to pre-pay for products such as extra baggage and meal service. If you're are seated in First Class, Business Class, you can pre-order your meal free of charge.

Pre-Paid Extra Baggage for International Flights

Save time and make more memories with smart check-in.

A convenient service that allows you to pay in advance on the ANA website for up to one piece of excess baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance for itineraries where ANA's baggage rules apply.

Enjoy smooth check-in by paying online before boarding your international flight.

Note: You can confirm the applicable baggage rules on the reservation confirmation screen.

In addition, you can use this service if you are flying on an ANA-operated international flight with an ANA flight number and you have one piece of checked baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance.

This service cannot be used if the checked baggage exceeds the weight and size restrictions.

Baggage Allowance

First Class

You are allowed to bring three pieces of baggage free of charge plus one piece of extra baggage.

Business Class/ Premium Economy

You are allowed to bring two pieces of baggage free of charge plus one piece of extra baggage.

Economy Class

You are allowed to bring zero to two pieces of baggage free of charge plus one piece of extra baggage.

Note:
  • There are weight and size restrictions in place for individual pieces of baggage.
  • This service is not available for two or more pieces of extra baggage. In this instance, we kindly ask you to pay the excess baggage charges at the airport counter.
  • ANA Premium members are entitled to additional free baggage allowance (free baggage allowance for the applicable boarding class + one extra piece free of charge).

Eligibility

  • This service is available to customers who will travel on an ANA-operated international flight under an ANA flight number, and have one piece of baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance.
  • Eligible tickets include those that begin with 205.
  • The itinerary must not include any U.S. or Canadian cities.
  • The sector(s) for which the pre-paid extra baggage application is made cannot:
    • include a codeshare flight(s) and/or flight(s) operated by another airline
    • be the Japan domestic sector(s) only
    • have a separately printed flight ticket

Charges

The charges will vary depending on the flight sector and departure location. Charges will also be converted into the currency used on the website for the country or region where the request was made. In the below charts, please note the following areas.

  • Area 1: Mexico
  • Area 2: Europe, Russia (Moscow)
  • Area 3: Russia (Vladivostok), Asia (including Japan), Australia

Application/ Payment

How to Apply

  • Please apply from the Reservation Details screen after purchasing your ticket on the ANA website.
  • Note: The Apply button will not be displayed if you are not eligible for this service or try to apply outside of the application period.

Application Period

The periods runs from when ticket purchase is completed until no later than 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the first flight on the itinerary.

Payment Method

  • Credit card
    • Alipay and China UnionPay cards can be used on the China site.
  • PayPal
    • Not available on the China, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Malaysia or Turkey sites.

Changes and Cancellations

Changes

If you need to alter or make a change to your pre-paid baggage, you have until six hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the first flight on the itinerary to do so. When making a change, follow the below steps.

  • Please carry out the procedures for changing flights on the ANA website.
  • Your pre-paid extra baggage charge will be refunded.
    • We will notify you by email when your refund has been successfully processed—this may take up to a week.
  • Please submit new pre-paid extra baggage requests for the flights you have changed.

Cancellations

Refunds can be provided after application. If you need to cancel your pre-paid baggage, follow the below steps.

  • Please carry out the procedures for canceling flights on the ANA website.
  • Your pre-paid extra baggage charge will be refunded.
    • We will notify you by email when your refund has been successfully processed—this may take up to a week.

Notes

  • The services are not available if your checked baggage includes items which exceed the size and weight limitations. In this instance, we kindly request that you check in your baggage at the airport counter.
  • If you would like to request a refund for the Pre-paid Extra Baggage charge only (and not for the flight itself), please contact ANA.
