[ANA archives] ANA Mileage Club launches

Started in 1993 as Program A, a mileage program for international flights only. In 1997, the ANA Mileage Club (AMC) was launched for both domestic and international flights, which introduced a full-scale Firm Fixed Price (FFP) service (providing special benefits to frequent users) for the domestic market. ANA Card members were also registered as AMC members. Since then, the company has been expanding its alliances such as FFP alliances with Star Alliance member companies as well as non-airline alliances (mileage alliances with other industries).
