Departure Lobby Counters

The new signage features large fonts and pictograms* to clearly indicate where customers need to go to complete check-in procedures and drop off their baggage.

Automated baggage drop stations (ANA Baggage Drop Service) and self-service check-in machines are located together to prevent congestion at counters and reduce waiting time.

Baggage scales at the counters are positioned at the same level as the floor to make it easier to move baggage onto them.

ANA Baggage Drop Service

New Chitose Airport is the second airport after Haneda to offer the ANA Baggage Drop Service. Ten automated baggage drop stations are available to make the check-in process even smoother.
Customers simply place their baggage into a station and follow the instructions on the screen to check it in.
This service is available in four languages: Japanese, English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), and Korean.
Please give this convenient ANA Baggage Drop Service a try.

Baggage Screening System

Previously, baggage had to pass through a manual security inspection using X-ray machines before they could be checked in. ANA has now introduced an In Line Screening system, which automatically inspects baggage after they have been checked in at ANA Baggage Drop stations or check-in counters and before they are loaded onto the aircraft. The introduction of this system means less waiting time for customers.

Special Assistance Counter

A Special Assistance Counter is available near the central security checkpoint to serve those who require boarding assistance, including customers using a wheelchair and those traveling with small children.
The flooring material was selected to facilitate smooth movement for wheelchairs and baby strollers. Counters which are positioned at the optimal height for wheelchair access is another example of the facility's focus on universal and inclusive design.

ANA Lounge

This lounge, which was renovated under renowned architect Kengo Kuma's "Ichigo Ichie" (treasure every encounter as if it were once in a lifetime) design concept, opened in September 13, 2017.
The new lounge offers twice the floor area as the previous one for a brighter, more spacious feel.
Universal and inclusive design is prevalent throughout the facility, including its reception area, which has counters of different heights to better serve customers who use wheelchairs and customers with disabilities.
It also has direct access to a newly established premium check-in counter and priority security checkpoint.

Waitlisting Reception Counter

The Waitlisting Reception Counter has been relocated from the departure lobby to the boarding gate area.
Customers can complete the relevant procedures near the boarding gates and proceed smoothly to their flights.
