January 13, 2023

On December 17, 2022, "ANA thanks Day" was held at Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport to express our gratitude to our customers.

Gratitude expressed by ANA Group employees

"ANA thanks DAY" is an event to express our gratitude to the people of Miyazaki Prefecture through events on the stage and exhibitions planned and managed mainly by Group employees loaned to local governments and companies in Miyazaki Prefecture.

This year's event featured a collaborative dance performance by ANA cabin attendants and the popular Miyazaki Prefecture's symbolic character "Miyazaki Ken(dog)," a traditional performing art "Kenshibu"*, a rock-paper-scissors tournament with prizes of local products selected by employees on loan to local governments in Miyazaki Prefecture, and a concert by the ANA Team HND Orchestra, which provided a fun time for the guests who attended the event.

What are your current duties?

I am working to rediscover and promote the attractiveness of tourism and local products in Kobayashi City, Miyazaki Prefecture, and to create new tourism resources.
The attractions of Kobayashi City are the spring water from the Kirishima Mountain Range and Miyazaki beef, which won the title of ''the most delicious meat in Japan'' in the beef category at the 12th National Wagyu Beef Aptitude Promotion Contest.
We are communicating the attractiveness of this region blessed with nature and food through social media and other means.

How did you approach this project?

When considering how to plan an event to express our gratitude to the citizens of the prefecture, I noted that the Regional Development Division, where I am stationed, is conducting a "Food Loss Reduction Project" through the Furusato tax payment, and that local offices are also actively involved in SDGs initiatives.
We believe that the SDGs are one of the issues of greatest interest to the citizens of the prefecture, so we wanted to introduce the ANA Future Promise initiatives of the ANA Group.
We hope that this booth will bring new insights to those who are already interested in the SDGs. And for those who may not know what the SDGs is, we hope that this booth will spark thier interest in the SDGs and encourage them to face the SDGs in their own way.

ANA Group will continue to work together with our customers and local communities.
