Guide to Caregiver's Fare Information Registration [Registration Procedure]

An ANA Mileage Club Card that has completed the Caregiver's Fare information registration process is required to make use of the "Caregiver's Fare".

  • Please join the ANA Mileage Club if you are not a member yet.

  • Registration applications can be made online or by post. Applications are not accepted at airport counters for ANA Japan domestic flights or by travel agencies.

    It may take a while for your information to be registered if you submit your application before or during an extended holiday period such as Golden Week or the year-end/New Year holiday period.

    If you submit your registration application at the same time as your ANA Mileage Club enrollment application (by postcard), it may take around 3 to 4 weeks for the registration of your Caregiver's Fare information to be completed.

Scope of Applicability

The Caregiver's Fare is only available to customers who are related within 2 degrees to a person that has been certified to require long-term care or support, or are the spouse of the person's brother-in-law or sister-in-law, or are the parent of the person's son-in-law or daughter-in-law. For further details, please see Applicable Scope of Caregiver's Fare.
Please note that the eligible age for relatives within two degrees of kinship varies depending on the boarding and ticketing dates.
Ages 3 and over: If the flight departs on or after March 31, 2024, and the ticket is issued on or after February 1, 2024
Ages 12 and over: If the flight departs before March 30, 2024, or the ticket is issued before January 31, 2024

Available Sectors

The Caregiver's Fare is only available for the flight route between the airport nearest to the caregiver and the airport nearest to the person requiring long-term care.
If there are no nonstop ANA flights available on this route, you may select up to 2 transit points between your departure point and destination.
(Only available on the same day or for the shortest itinerary available for reservation.)
Registration is not possible if the sectors between the departure point and the destination include another airline's flight or another mode of transportation.

Documents Required for Application

The customer who wants to apply for registration should prepare the documents shown in 1 to 5, etc. and then submit their application.

Official documents with a validity period must be within the validity period.
3 Transcript of family register
Extract of family register
Must show that the relationship between the person requiring long-term care and the caregiver falls within the scope of applicability for the Caregiver's Fare. Must have been issued within the last 6 months (and must show the date of issuance).
Several transcripts/extracts of family register may be required.

    For the Certificate of Long-Term Care Insurance Coverage, we will confirm the following: 1) The cover page of the Long-term Care Insurance Certificate showing the insured person's number, address, name, etc., 2) Status classification of the long-term care or support required, etc., and 3) The page showing the certification date.

    If the care-receiver's address (up to and including the municipality) on the required documents does not match the address included in the application, official documentation proving the care-receiver's address will be required.

[When Making Registration Applications for Several Caregivers Simultaneously]

  • When Making Registration Applications for Several Caregivers Simultaneously for 1 Person Requiring Long-Term Care

    Example: When Making Registration Applications for Siblings Simultaneously for the Care of the Siblings' Father

    If the required items can be confirmed with one copy for each of the documents shown for 2 and 3, it will not be necessary to prepare to multiple copies of the relevant documents.

  • When Several Persons Requiring Long-Term Care are Registered for 1 Caregiver

    Example: When a Child Makes a Registration Application for Their Mother and Their Grandmother, Etc.

    Up to 5 sectors can be registered.

Expiration Date of Caregiver's Fare Information

  • Caregiver's Fare information is valid until the same date as the registration date 1 year later.

  • The procedures for extending the expiration date can be completed any time from 3 months prior to the expiration date up to 1 year after it.

  • If the extension procedures are completed before the expiration date, the new expiration date will be the same as the previous expiration date 1 year later.

  • The extension procedures will no longer be available after 1 year has passed after the expiration date. In this instance, please perform the registration procedures anew.

  • Reservations and purchases can be made regardless of the validity period of the Caregiver's Fare information. However, you will be unable to board the flight with the Caregiver's Fare if your Caregiver's Fare information expires before departure. If this information has expired, please make sure to renew it by the departure date.

Example: When the Information Is Valid until August 25, 2021
If you renew the information on August 10, 2021, the new expiration date will be August 25, 2022.

How to Register Caregiver's Fare Information

  • ① Submitting an Application Online

    To submit your application online, please go to the dedicated website for the Online Registration Application Service for Caregiver's Fare Information, fill out the required fields on the screen, and then attach images* of the required documents. If you would like to apply to have information registered for several caregivers, please submit an application for each of them.

      When renewing your information, please prepare images of the required documents (shown for 1 and 2 above).

    Before Making Your Registration Application

    1. The recommended browser is the same as the one recommended for the ANA website.

    2. A JavaScript-compatible browser is required to use the Online Registration Application Service for Caregiver's Fare Information. JavaScript must be enabled in the settings.

    3. When using this service on a smartphone or tablet, the webpages may not work or display properly depending on the version of your OS, your browser, your use of platform-dependent characters, and other factors.

    4. Please attach images in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png format.

    5. Each image attachment must not exceed 5 MB (megabytes).

    6. We will not able to process your application if there are insufficiencies with the attached documents, or if certain details cannot be understood for reasons such as the images of these documents being unclear. Please note that, in this instance, you will be asked to re-start the process with a new application.

    7. We will send a notification to the email address that you registered upon application when we receive your application and when we have completed the registration of your information.

    8. If your device is set to receive emails from specified domains only, please set it to receive emails from 121.ana.co.jp.

  • ② Submitting an Application by Post

    Please prepare the originals or copies of the required documents (shown for 1 to 3 above)*, and then print out the ANA Caregiver's Fare Registration Form and fill out the required fields.

    • Any documents that are sent to us will not be returned. ANA Caregiver's Fare Registration Office will dispose of all documents in a responsible manner.
