Connecting to international flights

Even when the destination of your baggage tag shows the final destination, you must pick up the baggage if you enter the country.

Connecting to airlines departing from Terminal 1

Proceed to the International Transfer Counter on the Arrivals floor (2nd floor).
If your baggage is checked in through to the final destination, it is not necessary to pick up your baggage.
Take the escalator located behind the International Transfer Counter to the departure floor (3rd floor).
After clearing customs and security, proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight.

Connecting to airlines departing from Terminal 2

Proceed to the International Transfer Counter on the Arrivals floor (2nd floor).
If your baggage is checked in through to the final destination, it is not necessary to pick up your baggage.
Take the inter-terminal transfer bus and proceed to Terminal 2.
After clearing customs and security, proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight.

Connecting to domestic flights

After completing arrival formalities and collecting your baggage, please proceed to the domestic transfer counter on the 1st floor.
Passenger on Southern Airlines (CZ), Sichuan Airlines (3U), Xiamen Airlines (MF), Chongqing Airlines (OQ), Hebei Airlines (NS), Chunqiu Airlines (9C), or Jiuyuan Airlines (AQ), please proceed to check-in counter.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) to Downtown Guangzhou

- ANA group buses depart from Terminal 2 for the time being. Operation from Terminal 2 (Airport Terminal T2) the bus stop from the transportation center bus terminal on the west side of Terminal 2.

Boarding point: Terminal 1: Area A = Domestic Flight Arrival Lobby exit A3-5, Area B = Domestic Flight Arrival Lobby exit B10-13; Terminal 2: Transportation Center Bus Terminal (west side of Terminal 2)

Note that the amount of time required varies greatly depending on traffic.
There is a ticket office in Area A of Terminal 1 (Area A, Route 11), but there is no boarding point there. After purchasing your ticket, you must take a shuttle bus to Area B of Terminal 1.

Short City Line No. 1 (between the airport and Minhang Residential Area)

Airport (Terminal 2 → Terminal 1 Area A → Terminal 1 Area B) → Railway Station (Mawu Paifang) →Xinshixu (Paso Plaza) → Minhang Residential Area

Time required: Approx. 50 minutes for the entire route
Fare: 25 yuan
Operating hours: Departs at 2:30, 4:20, and 5:00

City Line No. 2 (between the airport and South China Normal University)

Airport (Terminal 2 → Terminal 1 Area A → Terminal 1 Area B) → Minhang Residential Area → Baiyun District Government Affairs Center Bus Station → Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Sanyuanli Campus→ Civil Aviation Ticket Office (Guangzhou Station) → Garden Hotel → Guangzhou Zoo South Gate → Tee Mall → Tianhe Computer City → South China Normal University (Jida Bus Station)

Time required: Approx. 80 minutes for the entire route
Fare: 25 to 30 yuan
Operating hours: 23:20 to 3:00 the following day (20 to 40 minute intervals)
There are additional departures at 0:10, 0:55, 1:30, and 23:35, but the route for these departures is Airport (Terminal 2 → Terminal 1 Area A → Terminal 1 Area B) → Garden Hotel → Teemall Plaza

City Line No. 3 (between the airport and Rosedale Hotel & Suites Guangzhou)

City Line No. 7A (between the airport and Panyu Hotel)

City Line No. 7A Night Route (Between Airport and Hampton by Hilton)

Time required: Approx. 100 minutes for the entire route
