We sincerely apologize to our customers for any inconvenience caused due to delayed or canceled flights which are the responsibility of ANA.

When You Are Transferred to Another Regular Public Transportation Authority

Point1

ANA will pay the fare difference when reservations are changed to other forms of scheduled public transportation (bullet train/bus tickets, etc.).

    ANA cannot pay for travel expenses to/from locations other than the departure and arrival airport indicated on your ticket.

  • *

    Only boarding tickets and limited express tickets are eligible for reimbursement.

Point2

Please make a request for reimbursement at a later date. Payment will be deposited in the bank account specified by the customer.

    Please retain receipts and submit these with the request for reimbursement.

Procedures for changing to alternative public transportation

Step1

Arrange travel using alternative public transportation.

Please reserve and purchase tickets for public transport by yourself.
Retain any receipts as these will be needed to calculate and reimburse fare differences.

Step2

Make a request for reimbursement.

ANA will reimburse the difference if alternative transportation is more expensive than the fare amount for your flight ticket.

Reimbursement of fare differences

In the event that your flight ticket fare is lower than the fare stipulated by the regular public transportation authority, the difference will be borne by ANA.

    The ticket refund is required if you were transferred to the other regular public transportation.

◆Please note that the following types of tickets will be handled differently.◆

Flight Ticket Type Reimbursement Methods
  • ・Award flights
  • ・International flight tickets (domestic route tickets purchased as a transfer from (or to) an international route)
  • ・Package Tours / Group Tours
ANA will fully bear the cost of the fare for public transportation. Please do not apply for a standard flight ticket refund and make sure you are reimbursed within 30 days following the departure date of your booked flight. Remittance will be made to your designated account.

Customers who paid ticket costs upfront when changing flights

If you incur transportation costs or accommodation costs due to situations such as your new flight departing the day following your planned departure or thereafter, you will be reimbursed for expenses you have paid upfront within the scope determined by ANA.
