We provide assistance for expectant mothers.
We provide assistance for expectant mothers.
This service applies only to ANA operated flights. For codeshare flights and flights operated by other carriers, please check with the operating carrier as the rules and conditions may differ.
If you are an expectant mother within 28 days of your due date (including the due date itself), please check Terms of Use to see if you meet all conditions for boarding.
Expectant mothers within 28 days of their due date (including the due date itself) need to submit a medical information form.
Please fill in the required items in advance, print out and bring it with you to the airport.
Please download with the passenger's consent.
The medical information form must indicate that there are no complications of pregnancy, that the passenger has no health problems preventing them from flying, and the due date. The form must be issued by a physician no more than seven days prior to departure (including the departure date itself).
The medical information form will be accepted even if it is not ANA's prescribed form.
We hand out ANA original "Maternity Mark" tags to expectant mothers.
If you need a tag, please let us know at an ANA airport counter (domestic and international) in Japan.
If you are an expectant mother traveling alone, our airport staff will escort you from the airport check-in counter to the boarding gate (customers who are to be using the lounge will be escorted to the lounge).
Please contact us to apply.
Please see ANA Airport Support for more details such as how to apply.
This service is not provided for baggage transportation or childcare purposes.
We will gladly assist you with stowing your luggage. Please feel free to ask our cabin crew.
Please do not hesitate to contact our cabin crew if you need further assistance.
Seats can be selected in advance on the ANA Website.
Expectant mothers within 28 days of their due date cannot be seated near emergency exits for safety reasons.
Please note that your assigned seat may change due to change in aircraft type or other reasons.
Please note that there may be other times where we may not be able to honor your seat request.
If you are an expectant mother traveling alone, our airport staff will gladly assist you at the airport.
Please contact us if you wish to use the service.
