How to Accrue Miles

Use Edy e-money from an Android device with OSAIFU-KEITAI® (digital wallet) to make purchases and earn miles.

STEP 1:Register for Keitai de Edy Miles

In order to earn miles with an OSAIFU-KEITAI® (digital wallet) device, the Rakuten Edy app must be installed and registration to the Keitai de Edy Miles service must be completed in advance.
Please confirm the registration procedures for the applicable type of Smartphone and complete registration.

Customers Using Android OSAIFU-KEITAI Devices

When changing to another model of Smartphone, customers must first unregister their original phone from Keitai de Edy Miles, then complete registration procedures again for their new phone. (Customers who are changing Smartphone should click here.)

STEP 2:Use the OSAIFU-KEITAI Device to Make a Purchase

To make a purchase at any Rakuten Edy merchant within Japan, simply place the OSAIFU-KEITAI device on a reader terminal.

STEP 3:Earn 1 mile for every JPY 200 of eligible Edy purchases!

Mileage Accrual Timing

Miles can be accrued with Edy purchases starting from the day on which Keitai de Edy Miles registration was completed.
If Edy on an OSAIFU-KEITAI device is linked to other points, mileage accrual will start from 3 days after Keitai de Edy Miles service registration.
(Example: If Keitai de Edy Miles registration is changed on January 1, mileage accrual will start from January 4.)
The number of eligible miles will be totaled 2-3 weeks after the transaction and automatically accrued to the AMC mileage account.

For each AMC card, only 1 OSAIFU-KEITAI device can be registered to Keitai de Edy Miles. Registration of multiple OSAIFU-KEITAI devices to a single AMC card is not permitted.

Retroactive accrual is not permitted.

When using a card with Edy functionality in conjunction with the Edy functions of an OSAIFU-KEITAI® (digital wallet) device, the miles for the eligible amount will be calculated and automatically accrued to the mileage account about 2-3 weeks after the Edy payment.

Notes

For Coco Store, and Daily Yamazaki convenience stores, purchases of all products which can be purchased with Edy are eligible for mileage accrual.

Edy is not accepted as payment for some products, such as products which are sold through multimedia terminals. Please confirm beforehand.

Not Eligible for Mileage Accrual

In principle, Edy purchases of the following products, as well as at the following merchants/locations, are not eligible for mileage accrual.

Products which cannot be purchased with Edy.
Cafeterias and shops located inside educational institutions/companies, vending machines, game machines inside amusement facilities
Tickets for air and ground transportation, gift certificates, event and facility admission tickets, prepaid cards
Insurance premiums (general insurance, life insurance, etc.), receiving-agent service payments (public utilities, taxes, pensions, etc.), credit card payments
Charitable donations, motor vehicle-related expenses, some adult-oriented products
Some online payments and Mobile Edy payments

There may be cases when Edy cannot be used to purchase both products which are and are not eligible for mileage accrual in the same transaction.

If an Edy payment is canceled, refunded, etc., the accrued miles from the transaction will also be canceled.

Edy payment may also not be accepted in other cases not mentioned above.
