This page details procedures up to boarding, including check-in and baggage inspection, for passengers traveling on international flights.

On the departure date, please bring to the airport either a mobile device that can display your mobile boarding pass (including the 2D barcode) or a printed boarding pass, along with any other necessary travel documentation.
Depending on the departure airport, you may be required to complete procedures at the baggage drop counter.
Please confirm the travel documentation required for boarding procedures, as well as your international flight ticket or e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt.
You can perform procedures at the counter or using a self-service check-in machine.
Boarding procedures must be completed at least 1 hour before the departure time.
Upon check-in, airport staff will check passports, visas, ID cards, and any other necessary documents. Please ensure that you have the required documentation in order.

Check-in start times for international flights and departure/arrival terminals for departures from airports aside from the above will vary depending on the airport and flight.

The barcode is not transferable to other passengers
Large items of baggage and dangerous goods, including sharp items such as scissors or nail clippers, cannot be taken on board. These items must be checked in.
The free checked baggage allowance will depend on your travel class and route. Please also be careful not to check in any valuables.
Customers checking in baggage should proceed to the baggage drop counter.
Customers without baggage to check in should proceed directly to security.
Customers with baggage to check in should proceed to the baggage drop counter indicated by the sign on the right at least 60 minutes prior to departure. For baggage counter opening times, please check the ANA international airport check-in counter opening times.
Customers checking in baggage should do so at the check-in counter.

Security has been enhanced at all airports in recent years to prevent hijacking and terrorism. We ask for your cooperation in ensuring safe travel for all passengers.
Please show both your passport and flight ticket for immigration inspection. Depending on the country, you may need to fill out an immigration card. (Japanese nationals do not need to fill out a Japanese immigration card.)
You can take advantage of the duty free shops once you have passed through immigration.
Passengers with tickets or cards granting access can relax in an eligible lounge before departure.

Finish any shopping you wish to do and proceed to the boarding gate with plenty of time to spare. Airports are surprisingly large, and you could miss your flight if you go to the wrong boarding gate. The departure time refers to the time by which all passengers have boarded and the plane leaves the gate. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

On the day of your flight, please bring with you to the airport a mobile device which can display your "Mobile Boarding Pass" which includes a 2D bar code, or a Boarding Pass printed at home, as well as your travel documents.

When traveling between Haneda and Narita airports or Itami and Kansai airports to connect from a Japan domestic flight to an international flight, your baggage will be checked in for your international flight at the departure airport for that flight.

Sapporo (New Chitose) / Nagoya (Chubu) / Osaka (Itami) / Fukuoka / Okinawa (Naha)
Please scan your boarding pass on the reader at the security checkpoint.
Please come to the boarding gate at least 10 minutes prior to the departure time. When passing through the boarding gate, please scan the 2D barcode, which you scanned at security, on the barcode reader located at the ticket gate.
Please be aware that you may not be able to board your flight if you are not present at the boarding gate at least 10 minutes prior to departure, even if you have completed procedures for your international flight. The boarding gate can also be confirmed on the flight information board at the airport.
Passengers who have completed procedures for their international connecting flight at the departure airport for their Japan domestic flight are not required to check in at the departure airport for their international flight.
Passengers who have already checked in their baggage at the departure airport for their Japan domestic flight do not need to collect their baggage at the departure airport for their international flight. Please proceed directly to security.
